Warning: This blog might be considered as an appreciation post for my beloved club: Humans of HSSH – HoH – a Journalism Club in my highschool. Bear with me if the choice of words sucks!

At the moment, I don’t even know where to start, it’s just that there are too many memories popping up at the same time in my mind. I would proudly say that HoH and its supportive people are the one who literally witnessed my little growth ever since the sophomore year started. I was, to be honest, a person with so many fears. I was afraid of everything I could be afraid of, I hesitated to do the thing I wanted back then in the freshman year. But somehow, everything seemed to have changed when HoH opened the member recruitment form last September, 2023. I did not expect myself to be signed up for the interview, but I did, anyway. I got into the Logistics Department and spent my first year of highschool with the club.

That was the brief introduction, may the main part begin.

I did not realize how big my love was until I had the chance to work at the Prom. To be more specific, my club was the one which organized the Prom for the seniors. The Prom’s name is The Faerie and it was held at the National Convention Center. That place was so large that I got lost twice, but finally reached the right destination. It was pretty chill at first but when the event started, everything seemed to be stressed out. But in the end, it was successful.

Arghhh, it’s so hard to tell all the stories as it was a long journey behind so I decided to make it short by telling stories below every picture I put here.

After a year working with the club, I felt like: Oh, I had got out of my comfort and safety zone a lot, I became more confident, I dare to do things I had wanted to do (The clearest evidence is this blog, Phouries – let me tell you another story behind this:  At first, I kept procrastinating it, I seemed afraid of doing it because at that time, I just hesitated to create a website, I thought it was super tough to make one. But I was wrong. I learnt that never had I done it without actually jumping right into it. Since then, I was always, say, willing to try new things, because if we do not, how can we know what those things are, right?). The environment created by the club had allowed me to build my own network at school. I got to know a bunch of great friends that later on, they helped me a lot, both in the academic and daily life. To wrap it all up, I just felt grateful for all the opportunities the club had given me. Also, I wanted to thank myself for bravely breaking the bubble I had ever since created around myself.

Please scroll to see the pictures (This is not all activities that I was involved in but I just simply forgot to capture them). Enjoy!

The congratulation email. I was completely out of this world when I received the email. SO happy!

Unfortunately, I cannot upload the clubfair and the first meeting pictures with the club. I don’t know why but the web host said it’s not available :<

I would say both of that events are the foundation of my current friendships. One more time, it’s so grateful to have the chance to join and meet all those amazing people.

There is an event which all the members are encouraged to join hand. It’s the photoshoot we specially made for the seniors just for them to keep the memories when in highschool. Sadly I cannot upload the picture, AGAIN!!

This is the puffy cloud in the National Convention Center. It was so sunny that it caused me headache.

Another cloud pic. I literally too obsessed with them!

The backdrop for the prom. It’s so greeny I would say!

This is me before the event started – just done arranging the badges.

This is also me before the event started. On the right is the staff card and the badge is on the left. During the prom, I got pretty a lot to do so I didn’t have any pic to demonstrate.

I also published 2 posts both in my Instagram (I put the link below so please scroll down a little bit) and my Facebook. Both are in Vietnamese if you’re curious to read haha.
